The Star Sign Cancer
Sun entered into a cancer in the stellar zodiac, bringing a strong tendency to nurture and emotionally protect our loved ones. When the Sun goes through Cancer the quality of divine motherhood awakened in each of us – at least potential. Suddenly a new sensitivity for all of us as children. There is a great opportunity for everyone to lay down their weapons and sympathize with their enemies in the next couple of weeks.
Cancer is the sign of sensitivity, compassion and motherhood. It manages the moon, the planet of selfless love, care and peace. This differs from the type of love that we have in relationships which are transactional in nature. Amorous relationships between two equals, 2 adults. In love relationships, each person should keep their part of the transaction, that the “deal” is. Every relationship has different boundaries that they take, and, strangely enough, these boundaries may appear to outsiders as long as the two partners agree to the terms and to comply with them – there is usually smooth.
This makes the relationship house (seventh house), medium business and career building. We use the same negotiating skills at his work, which we use in our romantic relationship – after all, people are people. Broader problems in the relationship is our ability to compromise and satisfy our desires, as well as add another person. Those who are able to bring their desires to do with dignity and respect. But it takes a genuine desire to please others combined with authentic intuition which knows where we draw the line and make that line without anger or excessive ego.
Nevertheless, the ability to play fair negotiations and protect shared borders, etc., will be a great detriment to the parent-child relationship. When a parent starts demanding the child to treat them as equal, at least when they’re young, there can be no great harm. Of course, when the child grows into adolescence and beyond the relationship starts to develop and strengthen. But still, the parent must always put the child necessary ahead of its own. Fortunately, nature makes this easy – as soon as the child begins to grow and develop their own personality, many immature parents stop to serve the child / selflessly loving child – and start to great harm.
The proper negotiation boundaries relations associated with Venus and strongly expressed through the Cardinal sign she rules, Libra – the sign of relationships. And, as already mentioned, the moon controls the selfless parental love that knows how to give. My mother loves the child regardless of whether that child is doing. But this shows the inherent struggle between Venus and the moon – the inherent struggle between selfless love and conditional love.
It is very easy to confuse these two things in our minds. When relationships become dominated by the selfless, parental type of love – is only a matter of time before it starts to feel like the violence in one and the co-management and for others. There must be accountability first, only then can become a romantic love, selfless, devoted love. Similarly, if the parent-child love is too deals with a parent constantly insisting on the immature mind of the child take responsibility for their emotional mistakes, as expected from our partner, a lot of problems arises. Without the paradigm of selfless love between parent and child relationship, the parent will not be able to insist upon accountability without the child feeling attacked.
This is an important issue, this time with Venus retrograde in front of the sign of Cancer. In Vedic astrology, the Moon and Sun are enemies of Venus. This hostility is expressed in different ways. The influence of the moon on Venus (including occupying the sign of Cancer), is to confuse the transactional nature and expectation of the borders of an equal relationship with a completely selfless, caring, motherly nature of the moon. Influence of the Sun on Venus (including occupying the sign of Leo) is to insist on a passionate, fiery and romantically accountable nature.
These themes will play in the upcoming cycle of Venus retrograde discussed last week in this newsletter.
Venus retrograde cycle forthcoming mirror recent Saturn retrograde cycle and also foreshadow next year’s Mars / Ketu conjunction at 28 ° Cancer. There is another very important factor that must be borne in mind in relation to this Saturn / Venus relationship.
